Day 16: The deep south

Having settled in an (mostly) got our bearings, we decided to explore a bit more of the island. Arbitrarily, we headed for the south. The first beach we visited, Galissas, was by far the nicest – a wide, round bay with crystal-clear, dead-flat water and a sandy beach. It was completely deserted when we arrived and the girls had a bit of a paddle. None of the others really caught our fancy (but I did manage to catch a small lizard on one of them), and we were home by lunch.
